We have a new Director of Undergraduate Student Services! Dr. Ashley Gard is currently an advisor for our Health and Human Services. She earned a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, a master’s in Sports Management and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University. She will be in the college full time starting April 24.

Mack’s resume after graduating from State with a degree in marketing reads like the lifetime accomplishments of more than one person. He became a doctor, business owner, educator, medical researcher, Boy Scout leader, cyclist, Army veteran, Ford salesman, Caterpillar marketing manager and much more. When he went to Oxford in England to gain experience in trauma and reconstructive surgery, Mack met the woman who would become his wife.

Entrepreneurship and Human Capital Management Minors Coming to Scott College of Business

The Indiana State University Board of Trustees approved two new minors Friday - entrepreneurship and human capital management. The entrepreneurship minor will give students first-hand experience in developing a valid, defensible business plan that takes into account the financial, legal, ethical and environmental aspects of creating and managing a new venture. The human capital management minor will provide students with the skills to manage the strategic resource of any organization - its employees.

Kyle Varble ’17, Lands Prestigious Management-track Job

One-on-one attention helped Kyle Varble ’17, land a prestigious management-track job at Rolls-Royce right after graduation. Kyle, who graduated with a degree in operations and supply chain management, interned at the company between his junior and senior years, thanks to several connections between Rolls-Royce and the university.
One of the people who helped Kyle start his career was Kuntal Bhattacharyya, an associate professor of operations and supply chain management and the director of the Center for Supply Management Research. Kuntal is one of many faculty members who take a personal interest in their students' success — in the classroom and in their careers.
